Medical Outsourcing

A heart specialist at University Hospital here has heard about people traveling to India for heart surgery, & says other doctors have noticed the trend as well. I don’t doubt it. It hits their wallets. He actually wonders why someone would want to travel 10,000 miles to have a surgery done, when it can be [...]

She has memory lapses too!

Condaleeza Rice was on ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos’, & sat there with her face hanging out, & said she couldn’t recall if there was a serious debate about Iraq being an imminent threat. I should’ve fallen out of my chair in shock, but I just couldn’t. I had to sit there & laugh. (Besides, [...]

Ready, set…….Wash!

It all came together today. Hot water in the backyard. Warm temperatures today. Not too much wind. The girls got baths. They smell much better now. Oatmeal shampoo for them, because they have sensitive skin, being the breed they are.
I was supposed to have had help doing this, but it worked out this way. Joe [...]

Here we go again!

Chris has his routine. He has a shower, comes down, then checks on his babies in the aquariums. He puts his hand in there, & announces that they are “kissing” him. Yeah, right. They see a body, they want fed. Then he tries to tell me that their water is too cool. If it was, [...]

People need to think before they speak

I was talking to a friend the other day, who was a victim of rape. She actually has her head on straight about it, & I’m very proud of her. But she said something to me that got me to thinking.
Maybe they don’t mean any harm, but people who speak up & state they “know [...]

Can they get it together?

If you watch the news, in whatever form, nothing seems to “meet in the middle”.
The U.N. says the mess in Iraq is only getting worse, with civilian casualties listed at 36,000.
Iraq puts the number at 12,000 civilian casualties.
Bush’s talking heads keep saying progress is being made, & that it’s winnable. We just need to keep [...]

Spring storms?

We had a storm come through yesterday that was enough to try the patience of anyone who lives here. Depending on where you live, what you got was literally up in the air. The mountains, in some areas, got 2 feet of snow. Out east & south got an average of 10 to 12″ of [...]

A true fish emergency

I was feeding the fish in Jaw’s tank last night, & put my hand in front of the return water bar, to check on the flow rate. Nothing. No water was coming into the tank at all. I yelled for Chris to come check it out. He did the same & verified what I thought. [...]

I don’t understand it

Congress is set to send a bill for war funding to the White House & the buffoon there, but he’s promised to veto it. Since they don’t appear to have the votes to overturn the veto, what’s the point?
Is it to show their voters that they did this, now this is how bad GB is? [...]

Can she NAG him to death?

I like the small claims court shows on one of the affiliated channels in our area. They are people watching from the inside.
Yesterday, the attorney who does the commentary on one of them asked the general assembly if a wife is guilty of a crime if her nagging causes her husband to have a heart attack & [...]
