Congress is set to send a bill for war funding to the White House & the buffoon there, but he’s promised to veto it. Since they don’t appear to have the votes to overturn the veto, what’s the point?
Is it to show their voters that they did this, now this is how bad GB is? We already know this. It doesn’t need to be pointed out again. Or, is it a sop (something yielded to placate or soothe) for their voters? To justify their being voted into office?
Whatever it is, they need to find something that will work. Impeachment comes first to mind. We can’t keep those young men & women there, as targets, forever. Which is what GB appears to want. He wants to go down in history as a great president, & I’m sure that’s what he’ll believe. I still say all we need is a picture of him yelling “I’m not a crook!” to have the complete picture.
Maybe allowing him in office was God’s way of saying that we need to look at all things before we complain.

I think the point is to take a stand.
It’s about time.
It was pointed out on the news this morning that this same thing was done by the GOP congress last year, was drug out for 108 days, & GB got what he wanted, without anything that he didn’t want.
They need to find the votes to overturn the promised veto.
They won’t overturn it, but I suspect the next bill he gets still won’t be the blank check he wants.
