GB & the Democrats

I thought that maybe things might change a bit, but I can see I was wrong.

Democrats send up a funding bill that has a deadline for troop withdrawal. As expected, it’s veto’d. So they give GB what he wants, so it’ll pass. Here’s a strange thought: Don’t fund the damn war!

Another promised veto was mentioned regarding stiff gas-gouging penalties. The oil companies say they don’t. So the bill is written up, only 1 person more than they needed to get it together. Not enough to overturn a veto.

It seems to me that the Democrats made a lot of noise about changing things if they got control of the House & Senate. They did, but they haven’t. Oh, they make noise alright, but that’s all they can do. They certainly aren’t doing anything helpful.

So we’re back to where we were when the Republicans had control. GB gets what he wants, the Democrats are only talking a lot, & the grandmother from San Francisco is still running her head. What’s changed? Not much that I can see.

We need a 3rd party, one that can get something done for the general population, not just the super rich, or connected.
