Traffic woes

Oh man, traffic is going to be a mess. I-25 northbound closed, the rubber-necker factor in the southbound lanes will be worse, & it’s a place to avoid.
Denver Water has to repair the water main that broke, then they can concentrate on the highway. Since I-25 is the major north to south highway in the state, they better hurry. CDOT is predicting it could take as long as a week for all the repairs to be done. Not only does the sinkhole have to be fixed, but they have cracks all the way across the northbound lanes that have to be addressed, too. They’ve pulled all the crews they have, off different projects, to get repairs done as quickly as possible.
Chris should have been taking 25 north this morning, but he’s chosen a different route. Smart man. The national news @ 4:30 this morning said there was a 10 mile backup yesterday afternoon, which I don’t doubt. Northbound traffic on 25 is heaviest in the afternoons.
This is another time I’m glad I don’t have to go anywhere. Traffic all over the city is going to be miserable.
