Easy, or it can be a pain. Depends on what said husband is doing at the time. Yesterday made my point, regarding the pain of it.
When Chris works on the PetsMart fish systems, he gets a call regarding one issue, but gets there & finds several more problems that the store personnel didn’t even realize. When this happens, we have 2 issues. First, are the new problems handled on the same work order that we have, or should a new one be reported, & 2, if parts are needed we run into problems. For several reasons, but they can be avoided, if Chris will do what he should do, as it needs to be done! Hence the problems.
They (Chris & Joe) carry order sheets that should be filled out at the store, then signed off on by a manager, so the store can be charged for the parts by Casco. What generally happens is Chris forgets about the sheets, he gets home, calls Casco to tell them of the new parts needed, & is told that it has to be done on paper. (Duh!) The order sheets have a fax number on them, but it isn’t the right number for the repair program that we’re working through. When parts orders are faxed to that number, they get charged too much, & frequently the order gets lost.
So we do what we had to do last night. He tells me what’s needed, so I can fill out the sheet. I do a cover sheet, asking that the sheet be signed, with the shipping speed chosen, then faxed back to me. He went over it on the phone with the manager of the store he had been at. I faxed it, then had to wait, to see if she would pay attention & do it right. She did! I was shocked & amazed, then got over it & faxed the order sheet to Casco. They will have their parts today, or tomorrow. Last night, it worked. There are times it doesn’t.
Like the store who made up their own list of items, excluding the necessary carbon vessel, faxed it in a week ago, & still don’t have them. I faxed the sheet listing the carbon vessel to the store for the manager to sign, with instructions that it be faxed back to me. They didn’t. I called that store last night, no parts for the fish system have come in. Yep, that worked. This morning, I’ll send an email to check on them.
All these problems could be avoided, if Chris would do the paperwork right. (’If’ must be the biggest word in the English language.) Do the order sheet, on site, get it signed, then bring it to me. That way, it goes to the proper area, gets processed, sent, & our work order can be completed faster.
And he tells me I need to be more organized?
