Only after bugging me for 15 minutes about the clouds coming in from the west (we’ve got a quick front on the way) and the lack of warmth outside. Yes, I was telling him to leave. Get on his motorcycle & go get parts for his brace. To go do something, but get out of [...]

Here’s the scenario: I had to have a tooth pulled yesterday afternoon. A tooth that had really deep roots. My jaw is sore, to the max. The dentist knew it would hurt to the point that Motrin 800 wouldn’t make it stop, so he gave me a prescription for Vicoden as well as the antibiotic. [...]

The Mudflats is one of my favorites. The writer, if not a professional, in my opinion, could be. It is that good.
I’d hate to have that nerve in a tooth

The audacity of some people. Stay in their own home & charge the state they work for to do it. Then say something to the effect that she’s charging less than the previous governor when he stayed in the mansion provided. If she’s working from home, she shouldn’t be charging to stay in her home [...]

Chris comes in yesterday afternoon & tells me he’s going to Leon’s to sit in the hot tub later. Ok, no big deal. Not long after that, I put a rack of ribs in the oven to cook for dinner, figuring he can eat before he goes. Joe, in the meantime, gathers up the games he’s [...]

In Colorado, as of July 1st, if you want to get married or divorced, be prepared to pay more for it.
The marriage license fee goes from $10.00 to $30.00. Divorce petitions go from $220.00 to $230.00, & divorce responses go up $10.00 to $116.00.
The kicker: All the additional fees are going to fight domestic abuse.
Maybe [...]
What has Philadelphia done to anyone?

First we have major businesses there that won’t repay debts. Then there’s the businesses that don’t pay the taxes they should, both of which are causing massive budget shortfalls. Then there’s the mayor of the city (who doesn’t appear to like the people who live in parts of Philadelphia) who’s trying to correct the shortfalls by cutting [...]

A father in Florida lets his 8 year old son drive a van, who promptly manages to hit 2 trees & almost gets 2 people in the process. It could have been worse, I suppose, had the child actually gotten out of the parking lot.
When stopped by the police (rightfully so) the father stated he [...]

I just went through the den & the TV is on GMA. They were doing a story on the woman who owned the chimp that mauled her friend. I had read the article in the NYT & was shocked to learn this community government knew she had it, but did nothing about it. In the [...]

My take on politics is what I see & figure out for myself. Then I’ll read others opinions.
It’s always made me curious how he (Burris) got the seat instead of someone else. I felt sure there were quite a few things nobody knew about his connections to Blagojevich, they just hadn’t come out before now.
Now the [...]
